Saint Jonatus was a Benedictine abbot of Marchinnes and Elnone. After training under Saint Amandus of Maastricht he would become one of the head monks at Saint Machinnes in 643. Afterwards he was elected Abbot at Elnone from 652 until his death in 659 AD. His feast day is celebrated on August 1st.
