Saint Nemesius

In the year 250 AD, Nemesius was arrested in Alexandria after being falsly accused of theft. During the Imperial persecutions of the time, being Christian was a crime punishable by faith. Saint Nemesius professed his faith during the trial and was immediately inprisoned along side other thieves, though he was often targed for much more severe beatings and whippings. After several weeks of these tortures the entire group of prisoners was sentenced to be killed by burning alive. Saint Nemesius was martyred for his faith among them, rejoicing that he would die along side two criminals just as Christ had.
